E.1 – Overall project management
Aim of the Action E1:
– coordinating the activities foreseen in the project.
A project coordinator, selected by human resources staff of CAUTO, coordinating beneficiary, deals with the project management full-time with two staff members, for the administrative issues and for the communication items.
A consulting firm supports the management, that is expert in managing European projects.
For each associated beneficiary a project manager has been identified, with a full-time engagement on the project development, with the collaboration of administrative staff and external consultants.
A Project Steering Committee has been composed by the key staff of the project beneficiaries with the aim to guiding the implementation of the activities, guaranteeing an effective project management.
Management meetings are organised every 6 months in beneficiaries’ offices, in order to resume an update of the results achieved and future steps.
An operative plan has been prepared with all the project implementation and it is updated every year.
Expected results:
– achievement of foreseen results and objectives
– development of the project respecting the deadline of the operative plan and the grant agreement dispositions.
E.2 – Monitoring of the project progress
Aim of the E.2 action:
– to measure and document the efficacy of the planning activities, in relation of the initial situation.
– to verify the achievement of the foreseen results and objectives.
The monitoring and evaluation activities are periodically conducted, on a six-month basis, guaranteeing the respect of the planned time schedule for the implementation and they help the detection of possible problems and the finding out of the effective solutions.
A monitoring plan has been developed and it defines the monitoring protocol, the monitoring indicators and the verification sources.
Expected results:
– n.1 monitoring plan
– n,3 monitoring reports and n.1 final evaluation
E.3 – Networking with other projects
Aim of action E.3:
– to ensure an efficient exchange of know-how
A preliminary screening of the ongoing and realised projects about E-waste treatments has been carried out in order to identify the partners suitable for the networking activities. Among others, the whole set of projects funded by Life+ programme are considered.
A networking plan has been defined in order to:
– establish preliminary contacts to evaluate the feasibility of a collaboration;
– identify a subset of the selected projects to involved in the networking activities;
– schedule visits, meetings, exchange of information.
Expected results:
– participation to n.3 events of other LIFe+ projects.
E.4: After-life communication plan
Aim of action E.4:
– to communicate and disseminate the results of the activities realised during the project development, after the conclusion of the project.
The plan will include some events already planned and some other to foresee:
- n.1 meeting with AIIC (Italian Association of clinical engineers) and participation to its annual national convention for the analysis of the reproducibility and continuation of the Life-MED project;
– n.1 meeting at the Faculty of Clinical Engineering;
– Presentation of the Layman’s report within the international week for waste reduction (November 2017);
– Presentation of the final results of Life-MED project at the national fair Ecomondo in Rimini (November 2018) and at RREUSE meeting (end 2017).
Expected results:
– presence of 50 Italian clinical engineers at the meeting with AIIC;
– presence of 100 students at the meeting at the Faculty of Clinical Engineering in Milan;
– presence of 100 people for the presentation of the Layman’s report (November 2017);
– presence of 0 people in the international annual meeting of REEUSE network.
E.5 – Financial audit
Aim of the action E.5:
– to assure the respect of the national and European legislation and of the standard administrative rules of Life projects.
The project coordinator will provide for appointing an independent auditor in charge of verifying the financial report passed on the Commission in the final report. This check will have to verify not only the respect of the legislation and of the national book-keeping rules, but also certify that all the incurred expenses respect the Common provision of Life+ projects.
Expected results:
Auditor’s reports on the independent costs.
